The perfect app for a dinner party; and the best way to level up your charcuterie options. I served mine with my favorite slow-roasted tomatoes, and you can achieve the perfect scoop with an artisanal cracker of your choice, a piece of prosciutto and some fig jam.
Ingredients:
1 wheel brie cheese (12 oz)
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
Drizzle of honey
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Serving suggestions (optional): crackers, fig jam, fresh baguette, prosciutto, roasted tomatoes
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 9–10" square.
Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry. Drizzle with honey.
Fold the pastry over the brie, sealing tightly at the top. Press gently to secure.
Place the wrapped brie seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a small baking dish.
Brush the top and sides with the beaten egg.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with crackers, fig jam, cured meats, and roasted tomatoes or other accompaniments of your choice.
